Fadnavis has ‘abandoned’ State, says Opposition

The Opposition parties have slammed Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for ‘abandoning’ the State and touring Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. Mr. Fadnavis offered prayers at the Mahakaleshwar shrine in the ancient temple town of Ujjain on Tuesday. NCP chief and former agriculture minister Sharad Pawar had last week criticised the State government for not doing enough to tackle the drought. The Congress said the Chief Minister should not misguide the people and must focus on drinking water, employment and cattle camps. Is he going to distribute this after the rain starts?” asked Congress leader and former chief minister Ashok Chavan.
