FSC lays out plan to tighten information securityTAIPEI, Taiwan -- A knowledge exchange platform will be established to help Taiwan's banking industry beef up information security, Financial Security Commission (FSC, 金管會) Vice Chairman Kuei Hsien-nung (桂先農) said Thursday. Platform members will be able to share experiences on information security and discuss potential threats to prevent security breaches in the future. Information security has been in the spotlight since last week's high-profile First Bank ATM heist. The FSC said it will step up training for financial security check personnel.
