CAIRO - 12 October 2024: Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Badr Abdelatty received Saturday a delegation from the Palestinian Fatah movement headed by Mr. Mahmoud Al-Aloul, Deputy Chairman of the movement. The delegation also included Mr. Rawhi Fattouh, Chairman of the National Council, and Mr. Azzam Al-Ahmad, member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Central Committee of the Fatah movement. Ambassador Tamim Khilaf, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, stated that the meeting witnessed the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration reaffirming Egypt's stance in support of the Palestinian Authority and its commitment to rejecting any plans to displace Palestinians from their land. The Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs also stressed the need to confront attempts to separate the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, stressing the unity of the Palestinian land. Minister Abdelatty also reviewed Egypt's contacts with various parties to stop the war in the Gaza Strip and reach a ceasefire and exchange prisoners and detainees.
