Representatives from Manchester United , Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich met on Wednesday to discuss the tournament code-named 'Project Trophy', reports the New York Times . The tournament would replace the Club World Cup - the annual competition featuring seven continental winners but which has failed to capture the imagination. South American clubs would make up four spots with two places going to clubs from Africa, Asia North America.
