Olalekan Adetayo, AbujaThe Federal Executive Council on Wednesday approved the Federal Government Action Plan on Anti-money Laundering and Combating Financing of Terrorism. He added that the plan would showcase new and more effective measures to combat money laundering and terrorism as agreed by the stakeholders. Malami added that the council ratified a prisoners’ swap deal with China. He said the ratification would lead to the repatriation of Nigerian prisoners in China to serve out their jail terms back home. He explained that the Nigerian prisoners to be affected for now were those imprisoned in Macau, an autonomous region on the south coast of China.
