Share TweetBy Analou de VeraThe Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has ordered the recall of all batches of an anti-rabies vaccine that were imported from Jilin Province in China. The FDA advised health professionals and the public that all batches of Rabies Vaccine (Verocell, Purified) 2.5 IU/0.5 ml Lyophilized Powder for Injection (IM/SC) (RabiesVax-FD) are being recalled in the market, the agency stated in its Advisory No. The FDA said that the recall is being implemented after the National Medical Products Administration of China found that the anti-rabies vaccine manufacturer, Changchun Changseng Life Sciences Ltd., is in violation of “relevant requirements” of GMP, particularly problems in data integrity. All consumers are likewise advised not to purchase or use any of the product batch/lot…” the FDA stated.
