Later in the day, NGA officials were preparing to introduce Knight for his speech in the William Allder Auditorium. As soon as Knight took the stage, Byers said he exclaimed to the woman, “Bobby Knight hit you on your ass! In his interview with The Post, Cardillo said he was “shocked” and “stunned” by the allegations. But with rumors flying at the agency, Cardillo said he felt a personal obligation to address the matter with his workforce.
