November 23, (THEWILL) – The Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, Mrs Olubunmi Kuku, has received the aerodrome recertification of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, and Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos. The DG noted that the achievement is remarkable and hopes that the closing up of gaps and certification of the other airports will be more seamless. THEWILL recalls that the two International Airports Aerodrome Certificates expired in 2020, and because of the COVID-19 pandemic, an extension was granted to FAAN management, which has successfully ended today with the recertification. The MD/CE of FAAN, Mrs Olubunmi Kuku, in her speech, acknowledged the effort of her untiring workforce, airport managers and the NCAA team for their resilience and good collaboration. Mrs Kuku, who acknowledged her great pride and deep sense of humility in this achievement, promised to move ahead with the certification of the other international airports early next year.
