Ezam taking another shot at setting up anti-corruption party - Nation

PETALING JAYA: After his attempt at setting up Parti Bebas Rasuah (PBS) years ago failed, Hisbah Centre for Reform chairman Datuk Mohamad Ezam Mohd Nor wants to give it another shot. The former senator expressed hope that the new government under Pakatan Harapan would be more helpful in facilitating the registration of his new party, which was aimed solely at combating corruption. "As such, I have today given the permission to my fellow comrades who had, almost two years back, submitted the application for an anti-corruption party, to resubmit the application for the party with a single objective of fighting corruption. "It is public knowledge that our effort was derailed by the pro-corruption agents who threw slanders and insults against us. According to Ezam, the name of the party and its Protem committee members would be announced when submitting their application to Registrar of Society in the coming days.
