Extreme heat alerts launched across Spain: weather forecast June 13-16The heatwave in Spain is expected to last well into the middle of this weekSpain’s first heatwave of the year, the earliest recorded since 1981 , began in earnest on Sunday June 12 with temperatures as high as 42ºC recorded in the south and along the Mediterranean coast. According to Aemet, the heatwave "will continue, at least, until Thursday the 16th, without ruling out that it lasts a few more days." Alicante and Malaga remain much the same, with a high of 30ºC forecast, while the mercury will reach a staggering 38ºC in Murcia.
