Bangladesh’s overall export earnings have seen a 6.41% jump to $30.40 billion in the first ten months of the current fiscal year. According to the Bangladesh Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), Bangladesh earned $30.40 billion in the July-April period of FY2017-18, as compared to $28.57 billion over same period in the last fiscal year. Furthermore, Bangladesh earned $2.95 billion from exports in the month of April this year, a 7.11% increase on the $2.75 billion earned in April of FY2016-17. The knitwear and woven product sectors also saw significant increases in exports in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year as compared to the previous. Jute and and jute products also saw an increase in exports this year, up by 7.66% to $890 million from $826 million last year.
