This discussion will be held in a roundtable and panel forum organised by the Covenant University’s Centre for Economic Policy & Development Research (CEPDeR), the centre disclosed in a statement. “The situation of Nigeria, like many African countries, calls for a rethinking of the development paradigm. It actually requires the academia, policymakers and industry experts to interact more actively in addressing the multifaceted challenges. Renowned industry and policy experts expected at the event include Ambassador Ayoloola Olukanni, the director general of Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) who is the keynote speaker. The centre disclosed that the discussants will be examining different aspects of the possible impacts of the proposed 2019 national budget at the event themed “2019 Budget: Pertinent Issues and Sectoral Impacts” which will kick-off by 10am prompt at the University’s CUCRID Multipurpose Hall.
