The District Disaster Management Authority here has conducted a safety audit at various Makaravilakku view points in the district on Sunday ahead of the Sabarimala Ayyappa temple Makaravilakku festival on January 14. The team visited the view points at Ayyanmala, Nellimala, Panjippara, Attathode, Elavumkal, Chittar, and Angamoozhy. Special teamMr. Sivaprasad said special task team of Fire and Rescue Force personnel would be deployed at all view points. He said Aska lamps would be provided at these view points, besides drinking water supply on the Makaravilakku day. The Disaster Management Authority would also seek help from the Ayyappa Seva Sanghom volunteers, if needed.
