Nigeria has had a roller coaster year in 2022, with both positive and negative events taking place. The year 2022 began with the Federal Government lifting a ban on the microblogging site, Twitter, months after it was suspended. Then came the Russia-Ukraine war, which claimed lives, property and is still on with its effects being felt globally. Then there was the horrifying Abuja-Kaduna train attack, cold-blooded killings in the St Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State. The Queen of the United Kingdom, Queen Elizabeth II died and World 100m hurdles champion and record holder, Tobi Amusan, ensured that Nigeria ‘buga’ on the world stage.
