Cyber Tribunal Bench Assistant Shamim-Al-Mamun confirmed filing of the plea and added that the court fixed June 24 for hearing on the petition. Earlier on Monday, the court sent Moazzem to jail after rejecting his bail petition in a case filed for recording a video of Feni madrasa student Nusrat Jahan Rafi’s statement and spreading it online. The court also fixed June 30 for hearing on charge-farming against the police officer in the case. Moazzem was arrested on June 16, some 20 days after a warrant was issued in a case filed against him under the Digital Security Act.
