The pair described the legislation as imperilling the Irish peace process, trade negotiations and the UK's integrity. The Agreement was signed with the EU last year to ensure Brexit could legally take place on January 31. The new Bill breaks that previous promise, and instead proposes UK ministers gets powers to decide which goods need tariffs paid or forms filled in. That breaks the vow in the Withdrawal Agreement that the EU and UK would decide the matter jointly.
