Though the turnout for this year's event was moderate, almost every affiliate organization of the Ghana National Council, GNC, was represented. The president of the Ewe Association, Steve Dei, thanked attendees and called on the Ewe Association to conduct an early election next year. This allowed revellers time to dance without interruption far into the wee hours of the night. Selassie Ayeke and Rita Tawiah Fiadzoe received awards for their dedication and service to the Ewe Association of Metropolitan Chicago.
