Pole vaulter Duplantis broke Renaud Lavillenie’s world record when he jumped 6.18 metres in indoor clearance in February 2020. He again broke Sergey Bubka’s world record of 6.14 m in outdoor clearance during at the Rome Golden Gala Pietro Mennea Diamond League. I had a close to perfect indoor season where I was able to break the world record twice so I can’t really complain.
