Tributes have been paid to the "full-of-fun" six-year-old boy who died in a drowning tragedy on Sunday that left a community "numb". Louis is one of four boys and his mother Helen Fang owns the Ocean Palace Chinese restaurants in Ballina and Swinford. The principal of Rehins National School, Declan Kyne, paid tribute to "much-loved" pupil Louis. In a statement, Mr Kyne said: "The school community is deeply shocked and saddened to learn of the tragic death of Louis Chen. It is understood Louis had recently returned to Ireland having spent a year in China in the care of his grandparents.
