Canadian journalist Evan Solomon, currently the host of two national TV shows and a radio program, will leave it all to take over the publisher’s role at New York-based media company GZERO Media, the company announced Monday. Solomon will start his new role, which is based in New York City, on Oct. 17. Solomon is the host of “The Evan Solomon Show,” a talk radio show on Newstalk 1010 in Toronto and other iHeartRadio stations nationwide, as well as the host of CTV’s “Power Play” and “Question Period,” all jobs he is leaving behind. Eurasia Group established GZERO Media in 2017 and it’s described as a digital-first media company that delivers analysis and commentary on global issues. Bell Media says it will announce a new host for “Power Play” and “Question Period” in the coming weeks.
