The US Federal Aviation Administration is investigating after an evacuation slide fell off a Delta plane and landed in a backyard in Milton, Massachusetts. The pilot of Delta Air Lines Flight 405, a Boeing 767, reported a loud noise as the aircraft was approaching Boston Logan International Airport shortly before noon on Sunday, according to the FAA. Workers inspected the aircraft after landing and discovered that the right rear evacuation slide was missing. Kevin Brown A Delta Air Lines spokeswoman said the uninflated slide fell from a flight from Paris to Boston. Milton police notified the agency that they found the slide in a backyard.
