US President Donald Trump has promised European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker that he will not impose additional import tariffs on European cars for the time being, Juncker was quoted as saying in a published interview on Monday. But without specifying when Trump made such a promise, Juncker told the German daily Stuttgarter Zeitung, 'Trump gave me his word that there won't be any car tariffs for the time being. 'The European Union will stick to its word as long as the US does the same,' spokesperson Margaritis Schinas said.
