The Etisalat Prize for Literature is set to celebrate the shortlisted writers and winner of the Pan-African literary award in Nairobi. On June 1, Etisalat announced its call for entries to the 2016 edition of the Etisalat Prize for Literature. Etisalat Prize for Literature was founded in 2013 as the first ever pan-African prize to applaud first time writers of published fiction. It will do this by holding a series of public literary events from June 15–18. The literary programming will include a public panel discussion with prize winner and Congolese poet and writer, Fiston Mwanza Mujila (Tram 83).
