Centum Investment employees will each get approximately Sh6.1 million in bonuses this year after the company announced a Sh550 million gratuity payout. The company 25 per cent owned by businessman Kirubi halved the bonus pay from the Sh1 billion that was set aside for 90 employees last year. The company invests in various companies and projects in power, real estate, financial services, fast moving consumer goods, agribusiness, education, ICT and health sectors. Others are Platinum Credit, Zohari Leasing and Amu Power - the consortium that clinched the tender to construct a coal-fired power plant. Centum's profit after tax for last year grew to Sh9.95 billion from Sh7.94 billion the previous year.
