Ethiopians deported after failed Middle East movesFrom SAAD MUSE in Mogadishu, SomaliaMOGADISHU, (CAJ News) – SOMALIA has deported 50 vulnerable Ethiopian migrants after unsuccessful attempts to reach the Middle East through the Horn of Africa. The International Office of Migration facilitated the identityverification and issuance of travel documents, paving way for thedeportations. Most of the deportees planned to make the perilous journey across the Gulf of Aden to the Middle East in search of jobs. Along the way, they fell into the hands of smugglers. Apart from economic challenges, Ethiopia is facing drought and terrorism, which is forcing thousands to flee the country.
