Ethiopian to Host International Aviation SymposiumMarch 14, 2017 - Ethiopian Airlines will host the 4th International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Global Aviation Training and Training Plus Symposium April 11-13, 2017 in Addis Ababa, according to Walta. CEO of Ethiopian, Tewolde Geberemariam, in his briefings to journalists, said that the symposium is the first in Africa of its kind and will be marked under the theme “Together, Enhancing Training to Build Capacity”. Ethiopian commands the lion’s share of the pan-African passenger, the youngest and most modern fleet to more than 95 international and 20 local destinations. According to the CEO, Ethiopian has allocated half a billion USD for the expansion of its business centers namely Ethiopian Cargo, Ethiopian Aviation Academy, Ethiopian In-flight Catering Services and some others. The construction of the hotel is 40 percent completed and it will commence service within a year, it was noted.
