Ethiopian Parliament Declares Three Days of MourningMarch 14, 2017 - Ethiopian Parliament declared three days of national mourning beginning from tomorrow for victims of a landslide at garbage dump site on the outskirt of Addis Ababa, according to FBC. As per the decision of the House, Ethiopia’s flag will fly at half-mast for three days across the country, Ethiopian owned ships as well as Ethiopian embassies and consular offices. The House also expressed its deepest condolences and wished console to victims and their families. In a related development, Addis Ababa city administration said it is working to rehabilitate families of the victims. The administration relocated 106 households, consisting of a total of 297 families, from the garbage dump site.
