Ethiopian hotel owners say all preparations have been made to ensure guests who will be in the country next week for the African Union Summit have a comfortable stay. The Hotel Owners Association (HOA) has expressed confidence the industry was all set for the 36th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the AU scheduled to take place from 15-19 February 15 to 19, according to the report of state broadcaster FANA. Solomon also pointed out that the hotels will adhere to the set COVID-19 protocols aimed at curbing any further spread of the virus. The 36th Summit will bring together presidents and heads of state from across the continent to deliberate on emerging issues affecting the continent. The AU theme for the year of 2023 is “Accelerating the implementation of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area agreement (AfCFTA)”.
