Ethiopia has reported 123 confirmed coronavirus following the confirmation of one new case, the Minister of Health Lia Tadesse said on Sunday. The case is an Ethiopian male national aged 30 with a travel history from Puntland in northeastern Somalia. “Only one person was confirmed positive amongst 957 laboratory tests conducted. Most of the samples are tested from people in mandatory quarantine and contacts of confirmed cases,” Tadesse said in a statement. Tadesse cautioned that the result of the tests culminating in a single positive case did not necessarily indicate a significant change in the course of the virus’ spread.
