This past week Ethiopia received 560 Syrians who came to Ethiopia with visitor and transit visa. 395 Syrian refugees are being deported for being street beggars in the Ethiopian capital, according to a report by state affiliated Fana Broadcasting Corporation (FBC). Ethiopia’s immigration agency seem to be suspicious about the begging activity and is reportedly studying as to why the Syrian refugees who came to Ethiopia with a visit and transit visa engaged in begging activity.
