Ethiopia Hosting 2017 Global Green Growth Week ConferenceOctober 18, 2017 - Ethiopia is hosting 2017 Global Green Growth Week Conference, reports Ethiopian News Agency. At a joint statement made by Ethiopian Environment, Forest and Climate Minister Dr. Gemedo Dalle and Global Green Growth Institute Director-General Frank Rijsberman, it was stated that Ethiopia’s leading role in establishing green economy has served as a criterion to choose Ethiopia as a host. Rijsberman explained that Ethiopia will receive USD 45 million from Global Climate Fund and contribute USD 5 million to enhance irrigation. Ethiopian Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Dr. Gemedo Dalle said the implementation of polices and strategies related to green economy has helped Ethiopia host the Global Green Growth Week 2017 Conference.
