Ethiopia Finalizing Plans to Host CAF General AssemblyMarch 8, 2017 - Ethiopia is finalizing preparations to host the 39th ordinary general assembly of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), according to ENA. The event is "historic and unique" for Ethiopia that is going to host the CAF General Assembly after 51 years, Juneidin Basha President of the Federation told ENA. Holding the meeting in Ethiopia, the founding member of CAF, is appropriate, as it coincides with the 60th founding anniversary of CAF, he said. Five-hundred participants including CAF member countries and well known football players are expected at the event. According to Juneidin, the event will allow Ethiopia to attract more attention from CAF members in its bid to host the 2025African Cup of Nations.
