Ethiopia Celebrates International Women's DayMarch 8, 2017 - Ethiopia celebrated the International Women's Day for the 41st time today with various programs, including the panel discussion held at the Prime Minister office, according to FBC. During a discussion held with representatives of women’s drawn from a wide cross section of the society, Prime Minister Hailemariam said the government will give due focus towards supporting the all round efforts of women. Ethiopia potential for growth is immense if all, including the government and women, are able to do their parts, he added. Demitu Hambissa, Minister of Women and Children Affairs, for her part said women’s development package has been prepared by incorporating new ideas so as to boost participation and benefits of women. International Women’s Day is celebrated on 8th March around the world.
