Ethiopia Calls for Global Action on Renewable EnergyBy Staff ReporterOctober 8, 2019 (Ezega.com) -- Ethiopia called for global action on renewable energy and pledged its support for activities on this front, including the United Nations environmental programs. ‘Renewable energies are sources of clean, inexhaustible and increasingly competitive energy, and clean energy development is vital to combating climate change and limiting its most devastating effects, ’ Ambassador Meles Alem said. The climate issue was further stressed by United Nation Environmental Program Director Ingera Anderson who said the global climate change is worsening through time. Renewable energy as the most effective tool the world has in the fight against climate change. The participants were urged to put everyone’s feet on the accelerator for tackling climate change.
