It’s time that we start talking about being for a strong and united Canada and only our strong conservative principles can make that happen,” said O’Toole. “There are no albatrosses in my Conservative party,” O’Toole said. “It’s very important to have a leader that can listen and reach out in both languages,” said O’Toole. And, threading its way throughout the questioning, and the speech, were issues of debt, national unity and getting energy projects completed. The answer, to all of these, for O’Toole, was simple, and the crowd was receptive.
