They have eight points and a net run rate of 2.464 after five matches and that is enough for the Three Lions to qualify for the semi-final. That match helped them to improve their net run rate by a huge margin. The equation for South Africa to qualify for the semi-final was they had to restrict England to 131 or less to leapfrog Australia in the net run rate. If they lose against the Afghans then they will be eliminated as the Afghans have a better run rate than the Kiwis. So if India win big in that game then they can topple the Afghans in net run rate.
