Environment Canada has issued special weather statements and snowfall and freezing rain warnings for much of the Maritimes, beginning Sunday morning. In many other areas of the province, a special weather statement is in effect. Snow is expected to start Sunday morning before later changing into ice pellets and freezing rain. will see snow initially, but that will change into ice pellets and then freezing rain by Sunday evening. According to Environment Canada's special weather statement for the area, snow will begin in the afternoon, before possibly transitioning to freezing rain.
