Amsterdam police posted a statement on their official Twitter account which provided detail on the arrests in the city centre. The statement said the 25 “drunken” fans were detained for “various offences” which included beer bottles being thrown at police officers. A video emerged today on social media showing England fans showering passengers on a tourist boat with cups of beer while cheering, before one then throws a bicycle into the canal, although it was not clear whether the footage was from this week.
