Urban areas have been particularly badly hit by the outbreak Andre Penner/APIn a desperate attempt to fight off a deadly outbreak of yellow fever, Brazil has announced plans to vaccinate the entire country against the virus. So far 340 people, including several tourists, have died from the mosquito-borne virus since concerns first escalated in July last year. It is one of the most threatening outbreaks to hit the South American country in decades. Ricardo Barros, Brazil’s health minister, plans to vaccinate an additional 77.5 million people in order to reach the country’s entire population by April of next year.
