In the Patagonian city of Bariloche, gas bills went up by as much as 2,500 percent, leading Mayor Gustavo Genusso to actually tell the city’s residents to not pay their upcoming gas bills back in May. Energy Minister Juan José Aranguren has announced that he will hold informational sessions this week to explain to the public how electricity and gas bill hikes will work and to get some feedback from concerned citizens. A final decision determining whether the government-sanctioned increases will hold lies with the Supreme Court.
