Fire and Emergency New Zealand declined to comment on the matter and referred the Otago Daily Times to New Zealand Police. A police spokesman said officers were called to assist Fenz at 6.40pm, following reports of smoke coming from windows at an Irving St house. ‘‘Police are now working to establish the circumstances around the incident.’’No injuries have been reported although a St John an ambulance was in attendance.
