A full-scale multi-agency emergency training exercise is being held at Queenstown Airport tonight, between 7pm and 9pm. The airport's Rescue Fire service, Fire Emergency New Zealand, the police and St John Ambulance would all be involved in the exercise, which would be ''quite visible''. An airport spokeswoman said if members of the public saw emergency services vehicles, with lights and sirens activated, heading to, or at the airport, not to panic. "Evening aircraft operations will not be affected and all airlines have been advised." Last week the airport held a specific fire training exercise, involving a controlled burn, on land near Queenstown Airport.
