He was the son of Florence Ann (Oxendine) and Will Forbes, residents of Elizabethton, Tenn. Wes passed away on May 7, 2022 in Orlando, Fla. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving sister, Joann Blankenship, and his brothers, Roy Forbes, Jack Forbes and Bill Forbes. Wes graduated from Hampton High School, Class of 1960, in Hampton, Tenn. He was also a member of the Sports Hall of Fame for his basketball skills during his high school years at Hampton High School. Wes is survived by his loving wife, Linda M. Forbes; his two sons, Dr. Wesley Scott Forbes and wife Dr. Jennifer Forbes of Green Bay, Wis., and Bryan Forbes and wife Susan Forbes of Knoxville, Tenn.
