Ten fishermen had gone out for fishing in two boats, said Radhanagar Union Parishad Chairman Mamunur Rashid. "One boat became electrocuted as the oar at Asadul's hand came in touch with a live electric wire," he said. Three of them died on the spot. ASP Monirul said two other fishermen - Abdullah and Nabiur - were rescued with the help of locals and given first aid.
