Just two days before Christmas, a Metro Rail Transit (MRT) train acted up again, offloading 800 passengers at Guadalupe Station. In a service report, an MRT northbound train suffered an electrical failure in its motor at 7:41 p.m. on Saturday. The failure was caused by worn out electrical sub-components, the MRT management said. This is the second time the MRT suffered an electrical failure on Saturday. A southbound train offloaded close to 500 passengers at 5:50 a.m. due to the same glitch, which was also caused by worn out electrical sub-components, according to the MRT management.
