In the spirit of Christmas, about eight in 10 Filipinos believe that it is better to give than to receive Christmas gifts this year, according to a Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey. According to poll results released on Saturday evening, Filipinos who said it is “better to give” increased to 81% in 2017, up by six points from 75% in 2016. This is the highest-recorded result since the SWS started asking the question in 2006, the polling body said in a news release. It slightly improved to 77% in 2015 before slightly declining to 75% in 2016,” SWS said. Sampling error margins is at ±3% nationwide, and ±6% each for Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, it said.
