At least one person was shot dead on Thursday evening in Ipogun community in the Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo state when security details of the candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for Idanre / Ifedore Federal constituency, Alhaji Tajudeen Adefisoye, shot dead a commercial motorcyclist rider. It was gathered that Adefisoye was in Ipogun with his campaign train when the ugly incident happened around 7:05 pm when the commercial rider was shot. According to an eyewitness, who explained that the campaign train had concluded its campaign inmate community and was about to take off when some hoodlums blocked the candidate to demand for some money. The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) who confirmed the development said one person was shot dead during the incident. He said policemen from the Ilara Mokin division were drafted to the scene to restore normalcy to the community.
