GUBERNATORIAL candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), in Ogun state, Honourable Adekunle Abdulkabir Akinlade, has hinted that he would do everything within his reach to discourage capital flight when he becomes governor of the state. Akinlade gave the hint while addressing party supporters at Orita Bamgbose in Isote Ward 12, Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State as part of his ward to ward campaign ahead of the March 2, 2019, governorship election in the state. He stated that one of his cardinal objectives if he is elected governor, is to sustain and improve on the economic legacy built by his would-be predecessor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun. Akinlade, who was given a rousing welcome by the people of Isote ward stated further that majority of the projects that would be embarked upon by the incoming government would be executed by people who have their businesses domiciled in Ogun state particularly the youth. “Artisans such as welders, carpenters, plumbers and others would have so much to do in our government, we would do everything humanly possible to discourage capital flight because we want the money voted for projects to remain in the economy of the state.
