A woman in her 90s is dead after she was found outside her seniors' residence on Jan. 1, in Lac-au-Saumon, in Quebec’s Lower Saint-Lawrence region. She was a resident at Domaine Lac-au-Saumon, a private seniors' residence. Provincial police say the woman was found outside in critical condition at 8:00 a.m. and emergency personnel attempted to resuscitate her. Provincial police say an investigation is underway to understand the circumstances of the event and an autopsy will be performed. Lepage, who is also head nurse at the facility, told Radio-Canada that the woman lived in the autonomous wing of the residence for almost two years.
