However, Eid will be celebrated on Thursday if the new crescent moon is not sighted Tuesday. The National Moon Sighting Committee will meet at 7:15pm Tuesday after reviewing the information of the Shawwal moon sighting from around the country, BSS reported. The meeting will be chaired by State Minister for Religious Affairs and moon sighting committee Chairman Sheikh Md Abdullah. People have been requested to inform the committee if they see the Shawwal moon tonight.
